Lunch at the Loboc River Cruise (Floating Restaurant)

In what ambiance would you enjoy nibbling sea foods or finger foods? Perhaps outdoors, like at the beach or somewhere unique… in a boat, in a river! πŸ™‚

Here’s a snippet from our family summer get away in Bohol last April. Bohol (Philippines) has long been famous for the chocolate hills and has been considered one of the must-visit places in the Philippines. Aside from the beautiful, crystal clear blue beaches (which i will be blogging soon enough), Bohol province has soooo many other tourist destinations to enjoy and one of which is experiencing the Loboc River Cruise.

Stopped by a souvenir shop before we hopped into the floating restaurant.

Loboc is famous for its floating restaurant in the Loboc river and it is also the place where you can find the tarsiers.Β The restaurant offers variety of mouth-savuoring seafoods (crabs, fish, guso (i dont know what its called in english haha) vegetable salad, pork barbeque & filipino delicacies for desert (palitaw, kutsinta and etc.). The food is served and buffet so yes, it is unlimited to devour!20140508-081418.jpg

Looks like i am enjoying much of the view than my mom and brother haha.

The best part of dining in the floating restaurant is the scenic view of the Loboc River as you enjoy your meal. Ah the smell of your freshly cooked crabs and the fresh air. Not to mention the classic music played in the background

In the middle of the cruise, we dropped by in a floating store along the river where group of Boholanons (both adult and children) are dancing and singing a welcome song for the guests.Β 20140508-081605.jpg

Here’s the end point of the river cruise. A small but beautiful view of Loboc Falls. 20140508-081622.jpg

Can you guys see how clean and peaceful this river is? Indeed a worth while experience. We only paid 300 PHP for the trip. It’s already cost-effective for the boat, unlimited food and the heart warming view.Β 20140508-082040.jpg

      1. Saw it again. The crabs were really nicely cooked and I ate a lot of them. I’m also actually in charge of getting the meat from the shells for my wife. I think we ate at least three plates of crabs. Hehehe. πŸ™‚
